1. Before buying stainless steel tubes, we need to calculate the weight of the batch of materials to calculate the cost, then there comes two nouns, theoretical weight and actual weight

Actual weight: Stainless steel pipe is delivered by factory weight or weighing (overweight) weight.

Theoretical weight: stainless steel pipe is delivered according to the weight of the steel calculation formula.

Here we need to emphasize that since the products are normally thin, the actual shipping weight will generally be lighter than the theoretical weight, but the theoretically calculated weight and actual weight will not differ too much.

2. The calculation formula of the theoretical weight of stainless steel pipe:

Round Pipe: (outer diameter - thickness) * thickness * 6 * 0.02491;

Square Pipe: (outer diameter * 4 / 3.14 - thickness) * thickness * 6 * 0.02491;

Rectangular Pipe: {(length + width) * 2 / 3.14 - thickness)} * thickness * 6 * 0.02491.

3. The difference between deviation and tolerance

Deviation refers to the requirement of the actual size of the stainless steel tube is difficult to reach the nominal size during the production process, and it is often larger or smaller than the nominal size, so the standard stipulates that there may be some difference between the actual size and the nominal size. A positive deviation is a positive deviation, and a negative value is a negative deviation.

Tolerance is the sum of the absolute values of the positive and negative deviation values which specified in the standard. Deviations are directional, that is, "positive" or "negative"; tolerances are not directional, so it is not proper to call them "positive tolerance" or "negative tolerance".
